A new app, created by Costa Ricans, seeks to motivate children aged 4 to 12 years to practice math.
The educational game called Math Harvest, has three levels where the user must perform addition, subtraction, multiplication and division to harvest carrots, apples and oranges.
In each mathematical operation is a time limit. The player may win the most points at the end of each adventure collected overtime. The achievements can be shared on Facebook.
This project took six months to develop. Math Harvest on sale left in Apple Store USA on September 11, and in Costa Rica, 10 days later.
Currently, the application has no Android version, only for iOS 4.2 and above.
As an application developed between two people, their creators prefer market driven Apple user and specialize in this line. In fact, in a few days it would launch a free game with the same characters from Math Harvest and a big app for kids.
