After a nice lunch you can walk to the water's edge of the river, a private pathway that leads to this pristine, crystal clear mountain river.

The Riverside Villas feature gracious family, living, and dining rooms scaled for small families, but designed with extraordinary details such as wide hallways, top of the line appliances, granite counter tops, upgraded tile floors and hard wood cabinets. As one expects in paradise, the river, the rain forest and the sky are evident from all angles; spectacular design features such as big sliding glass doors guarantee that you'll never miss a sunrise neither a sunset.

The Gourmet eat-in kitchen with river views is absolutely spectacular, and opens to the Dining Room and Family Room. This entire space leads to the outdoors through a comfortable balcony.

Each villa has 3 bedrooms, with private balconies, providing guests a true resort experience and ultimate comfort. The Master Suite has endless mountain and river views, total privacy and walk in closet, the ideal place for afternoon naps.

An immaculately finished outdoors, over 9 cars parking space, in house security guard and maid, and residential  grade elevator are just a few of the additional features.

Meandering pathways and the authentic native #Costarican landscape, evoke the lifestyle of the Central Pacific coast, where the forest, the river and the sun are there for you to relax and enjoy.

New road to Monteverde to be ready in 2014.

Construction of a badly needed new road to the popular mountainous destination could begin in November.
The National Roadway Council (CONAVI) on Tuesday promised residents of the cloud forest community of Monteverde that construction of a new road will start in November.
The agreement came after a meeting attended by officials from CONAVI, the Comptroller General’s Office and residents of the north-central community, one of Costa Rica's most popular tourist destinations.
CONAVI officials agreed to open a public bid for the project no later than September. The ₡7.5 billion ($15 million) project will include an asphalt road to replace an 18-kilometer stretch of deteriorated gravel road. It also will include the construction of ditches and guardrails.
If the Comptroller General’s Office approves a public-bid contract, work would begin in November. CONAVI said the project would take 10 months to complete.
Some 100,000 tourists visit the Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve each year.

Construction finished as San José’s Avenida 10 reopens

After 10 months of repairs, a major thoroughfare in downtown San José has reopened to traffic.
San José mayor Johnny Araya and members of the construction company CEMEX inaugurated the revamped Avenida 10 Thursday morning.

costadevelopers.comSan José municipal officials on Thursday inaugurated a newly paved 10-block stretch of Avenida 10, one of the main east-west routes through the city.

Repairs were made between calles 8 and 11 by the company CEMEX and included 8,000 square meters of concrete pavement. Workers also installed 4,000 square meters of new sidewalk. The total cost of the project was $1.2 million.

“We know this project caused a lot of inconvenience for several months,” San José Mayor Johnny Araya said. “The reconstruction of Avenida 10 was carried out in six phases to make it as orderly as possible.”

“Not only does this project beautify the city, but it also provides additional benefits such as a longer life for the road because it’s made of concrete,” Roberto Pongutá, director of CEMEX Costa Rica, said.

The Avenida 10 project is part of a plan to rebuild 38 city blocks.
