The president of Costa Rica, Laura Chinchilla, while visiting one of the largest industrial parks in China, Suzhou, showed interest in the Chinese experience, which can help create a similar area, who specializes in Chinese investment in the Costa Rican territory.

The Suzhou Industrial Park in China - Singapore, founded in 1994 has about 20,000 companies, 25% foreign business.
Around them a real city built for those who work there, with about 750,000 residents and all types of services, from education, health, places for shopping and entertainment.
The idea of creating an industrial zone in the country, as part of the Central American block, as China Suzhou Park, is a viable model to imitate, of course keeping the differences in size and scale, but is a model even for Costa Rica, who has been working with industrial zones for several years.
By creating something similar in Costa Rica, it will allow to enter a "new phase" with "a new quality in the trade zones."
Costa Rica has been one of the most successful countries in Latin America to attract foreign direct investment, especially in recent years, through their industrial zones.
To make this possible, we will seek to collaborate with the China Development Bank and start planning the design of a possible joint investment to build this specialized industrial park.
