Thoughts About Buying A House In Costa Rica? | Costa Developers

We know, the idea of having a little peace of paradise is pretty much anyone’s dream. What do you really need to think about when you’re buying a house in Costa Rica?

Here are some thoughts for you to delve over which might help you make a better decision.
Have a clear idea on what you want.
Dreaming is good, but in order to turn imagination into reality you should really clarify what exactly you’re looking for.
Is it a thatched bungalow surrounded by a veranda in front of the beach? Or a 5 acre hacienda more your style? Perhaps you’re more into a modern home close to a world class marina, golf courses and five star resorts…
Having a clear picture of what you want will help you zero in on the locations where you’re most likely to find what you’re looking for.
How different is living in Costa Rica? Many people lose themselves in their dreams of living abroad, only to find that there are some very distinct differences when they’re actually down here.
Our suggestion is that you spend some time here before you sell your home and all your belongings. And we’re not talking about coming down for vacations either, we all know that those two weeks away from work, sipping on piña coladas and dancing salsa can be intoxicating; make plans to get to know the culture, consider hiring a knowledgeable guide to let you in on the nitty gritty details of what it’s actually like living down here.
Chances are that you’ll probably end up liking it here, but it’s never a bad idea to explore before you take the big step.
 The right price
Are you getting your money’s worth? Buying a home abroad can be tricky, when you’re a thousand miles away there’s always the possibility that you’ll be taken by unscrupulous swindlers.
That’s why it’s important to do your homework and make sure that you’re working with an established, reputable company that will guide you through the process of buying a home that you’ll be happy with for the rest of your life.
Look for a company that has an established track record; can you reach them by phone? Can they provide references and testimonials? If you go down to Costa Rica, can they actually show you that they’ve built homes, or are they just in project stage?
These are all important questions that will help you determine whether or not you’re getting the most bang for your buck.
Buying a home in Costa Rica can be one of the best decisions you’ll ever make, owning a little piece of paradise is not that far fetched of an idea provided that you know what you’re getting into. We want to make sure that you have all of the information you need, which is why Costa Developers is commited to answering any questions you might have if you’re considering buying a home in Costa Rica.

It’s a good time for buying dollars in Costa Rica | Costa Developers

Dollars
Alberto Font
Costa Rica’s Central Bank is trying to prevent the currency from falling below the lower-band limit of ₡500.
The dollar exchange rate fell again on Wednesday, continuing a downward trend in recent days.
On Tuesday, Costa Rica’s Central Bank intervened for second day the exchange market by buying dollars. The bank bought $34,000 on Monday and $1.8 million on Tuesday to prevent the currency from falling below the lower-band limit of ₡500.
At the Foreign Currency Negotiation Market (MONEX), the dollar traded at an average of ₡500.04.
Customers with dollar debt could benefit from this downward trend, say experts, who recommend that account holders with dollar loans make extra payments to decrease the debt amount. Those who receive a salary in dollars, however, are seeing their wages drop.
The exchange rate for Wednesday is:
Buy: ₡492.96
Sell: ₡503.66

Costa Developers | Playa Carrillo in Guanacaste is one of the best beaches in the world

Travel and Leisure international magazine chose Playa Carrillo in Guanacaste, as one of the best beaches of the world. It emphasized on the region’s poor development and also highlighted the paradisaical as a true oasis in the Nicoya peninsula.
Costa Developers | Playa Carrillo in Guanacaste is one of the best beaches in the world In the story, writer says this is a relaxed village of fishing, of white sand and surrounded by mountains with a palm tree boulevard. Other beaches chosen by the publication include La Pedrera in Uruguay, Matagorda in Texas, Happy Bay, St. Martin, Lord Howe Island in Australia, and Ibo Island in Mozambique.
“Just south of the popular surfer’s paradise of Samara Beach, Playa Carrillo is one of the least developed spots on the Nicoya Peninsula. Framed by mountains, the laid-back fishing village has a white-sand beach just off a palm-lined boulevard (there are no unsightly beachfront developments). Known among divers for its excellent coral reef teeming with marine life, the beach is protected by rocky headlands, providing calm, warm water for swimmers. Accommodations such as El Sueno are off the beach, but quite reasonably priced. Don’t miss the La Selva Zoo and Bromeliad Gardens at the southern end of the bay” – wrote David A. Keeps on this article.
This is not the first time Travel and Leisure mentions Costa Rica on their website, it frequently makes announcements of travel options ans current offers to visit the country.
Many have written about their experiences while been in the country, such as:
Costa Developers | Playa Carrillo in Guanacaste is one of the best beaches in the world “Our family had vacationed in these parts a couple of years ago, taking a cruise down a jungle river, spying on monkeys in Manuel Antonio National Park, and going on an expedition to see leatherbacks, the world’s largest turtles, lay eggs on the beach before they headed back to sea.” – Ursula Fousler
Recently Travel and Leisure included Costa Rica as one of the premier destinations for those who enjoy Zip Lining, located in Nosara, named Miss Sky, Nosara. Eco tourism has been one of the most explored topics when writing about Costa Rica. Regardless the place you visit, nature conservation its always present.
“This jungle vision was so enchanting that I forgot I was completely wet, and I almost forgot that I’d have to descend the tree the same way I’d come up: a nerve-jangling journey in a tiny bosun’s chair attached to a pulley. The whole experience seemed to me the epitome of ecotourism—a gentle and conscientious trespass into another world.”-Marcel Theroux.
On July 2010, the same magazine chose Costa Rica as number one country for solo travelers, based on its safeness. “One of those rare countries without armed forces, Costa Rica gives fresh meaning to the term peaceful.”
